While doing a
rewind of my life,
I came upon
the first
woman/girl I
fell in love
with at
age 16.
She lived in
New Jersey;
I lived in
Massachusetts.
I should have
know the
logistics weren’t
right.
But I hadn’t heard
the saying
long distance
romances
never
work out.
Now with over
60 years of
living since
then and
experiences
with more
women,
I can see
the fault lines
that were in
that ill-fated
love.
And I know
that her
leaving me
saved me
from future
complications.
But, I wish
I could have
been with a
woman/girl
that would
have been
with me
for all these
60 years.
